TroyBoi - an extraordinarily unique producer, hailing from London Town. His 'The Mantra Tour' was a mystical outpouring of trap-fusion and masterful production.
'The Mantra Tour' opened with KRNE - the perfect party starter to an incredible night. His all music, no lights/visuals, set was enlightening that really focused my attention on listening to every musical choice he made. KRNE recently joined forces with epic trombonist Alexander Lewis to release 'Fall Apart' which made the crowd go wild. He continued with his remix of Baauer's 'Kung Fu' and finished with 'Propane' - a watery track fueled by eastern melodies and the grimiest bass.
Complete with entrancing technicolor graphics and an acro-dance duo, TroyBoi fully drew me into his world. His use of ethereal soundscapes to build up to signature neck-breaking drops makes TroyBoi's music a master class on the experimental trap sound. We got 110% of TroyBoi that night, including his works with fellow producers Icekream under the stage name SoundSnobz. He came in hard with 'OG', followed up by the sickening 'ili' that got everyone silly.. Suddenly, I was being rushed by bouncers clearing the elevated stage. Acrobats came in while his mega London collaboration with Stookie Sound 'W2L (Welcome to London)' played over the performance. After the dancers left, he dropped the wonkiest 'Do You?' and blasted out the show with his Maddecent release 'Afterhours.'
TroyBoi's a producer currently on fire, who's 'The Mantra Tour' gives you a front row seat into his world.
