Today, for our New Artist post, we bring to you some yummy R&B-
Louis Mattrs is a young singer songwriter from the UK who finds inspiration in the nocturnal hours and charming women. The two most distinctive characteristics in Louis' music include his unmistakable voice that can reach octaves that will have your bones shaking, tied with his futuristic production.
Louis has been making some noise for awhile now releasing his first EP, “Beachy Head” back in September of 2013 and collaborating with popular Drum N’ Bass duo Chase & Status around the same time, but is reappearing with an amplified presence.
Louis’ more recent work includes an intertwining cover of Tweet’s 90’s hit “Oops (Oh My)” and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Wus Good,” an appearance on SG Lewis’ EP “Shivers” and releasing his own EP “Slow Waves.”
The new EP is escalating in buzz and houses a catchy, yet relaxing R&B sound that brings you back to some old school R&B that’s all about tha’ ladies and groovin’. He also brings a new refreshing ‘woozy’ sound that is becoming prevalent in the UK, all while emulating some of his great inspirations like Usher and Musiq Soulchild.
Louis' innovative, yet old school style, has all the elements and talent to become a defining name in the new wave of R&B coming out of the UK. We are now in the know thanks to our R&B connoisseur Aquaus who introduced Louis Mattrs to fanum.fm.
